3-Dimensional Figures

  • have a length, a width, and a height

You can use geometric shapes
to help describe real-world
situations and objects.

Example 1:

Name the 3-dimensional figure.
 

The volleyball is a sphere
It is a 3-dimensional figure. 

 

Example 2:

Name the 3-dimensional figure.

This ice cream cone  is a cone.
It is a 3-dimensional figure.

 

Example 3:

          

Name the 3-dimensional figure.

The soda can  is a cylinder.
It is a 3-dimensional figure.

 

Remember:

3 dimensional shapes have length, width, and height.
